Lost a few tomatoes with the rain, but Iโm very happy with the yellow/orange ones because the seeds came from a punnet of colourful tomatoes Iโve bought ages ago, and planted, just as an experiment. They are plum shaped and sweet.

Itโs that time of the year again! Public enemy number one of weeds is flowering in the Waitakere ranges. I cut the flowers by the side of the road before they go to seed and spread. Please do the same, cut wild ginger flowers are beautiful in a vase, but dangerous if left out there to multiply! We removed them all from our property and we continue to weed the seedlings that spread from nearby properties into the bush.
