In an upcoming episode of “House of the Dragon”:
First Advisor: It is rumored that one of the claimants to the throne, Ser Donald of House Trump, is a bastard.
Second Advisor: Well, he’s not going to stand out in a crowd in this country.
First Advisor: Aye. We get the leadership that we deserve.
Second Advisor: Apparently we don’t deserve much of anything.
MSNBC has become mealy-mouthed and defeatist, they have all ready conceded this election to Trump. Yet Biden is currently only 1% or 2% behind Trump in the polls, well within the statistical margin of error. With MSNBC around, who needs Fox News? All of the major news networks are a useless disgrace, they are only fit to sell detergent. And I guess they feel that Trump will sell more detergent than Biden. Disgraceful and disgusting.
Contrary to what most Europeans believe, the American people are not all hopelessly insane. Only 4 out of 10 are. So when you step outside your front door today, be very careful.
“Oh, if only my followers and fans would do something felonious as well, this whole felon thing would become meaningless!”
“Well sir, it is highly unlikely that anyone would do something felonious to take the heat off you. Sorry, but there it is.”
The insane young man who tried to assassinate Trump was a registered Republican. Pretty ominous.
The insane young man who tried to kill Trump was a registered Republican. To no one’s surprise at all. Hinckley, the man who tried to kill Ronald Reagan, came from a solid Republican family that liked guns. And Hinckley had previously been thrown out of his local chapter of the American Nazi Party for being “too extreme.”
“Fear not!” Oh brother. I’m glad that Felon Mohammed escaped serious injury from the assassination attempt by the lunatic. Having said that, it might be an excellent time for somebody to start toning down their violent rhetoric about “retribution” and “a bloodbath.”
Although I strongly disagree with the policies of Trump, I am glad that he escaped from the attempt made on his life today relatively unharmed. But this horrendous act should be a sobering lesson to all Americans. Violent rhetoric and divisiveness has become very common in American politics of late. We must learn to disagree with each other in a civil fashion, without the threats and posturing. We see very clearly the horrendous things that might happen if we fail to ratchet the violence down.
Up until now, the conventional wisdom has been that the American people would never knowingly choose a fascist dictatorship. Did we will ourselves to forget that most conservatives have never once had a strong objection to right wing authoritarianism? And did we refuse to analyze that a large segment of the American people have a poor grasp of the issues (due to apathy), and will merely vote for the candidate who shouts the loudest in an entertaining way. I’m afraid that Animal Farm is Now.
First Voter: Biden was inarticulate during the debate.
Second Voter: Holy cow! Let’s replace him with a brutal dictatorship immediately!
