I’ve always been a bit confused by @codinghorror ‘s attitude to Claude/Anthropic. Like I wondered if the hate was an overreaction.
But then I asked Sonnet 4.6 this, and the answer made my skin crawl. This is dangerously dishonest.
Seriously considering cancelling my Claude subscription and giving codex another try.
Lots of people on LinkedIn losing their minds over this in the Claude Code leaked source.
Honestly? I don’t get the outrage. This is just sentiment analysis. If you use Claude Code, you’re signing up to have your entire prompt and source code being sent over the wire to be processed by an LLM.
I don’t get why some “the user is angry at our product” metadata on top of that is either unexpected or particularly egregious.
Checked in for #DinoConUk! And randomly found myself being checked in by an old friend who I had no idea was here this year, never mind volunteering!
