Geospatial stuff.

@ajroach42

As a new user, I couldn't be happier to have found this place. The core philosophy and intended user experience of this platform feels like a very positive evolution of the technology that connects us.

Learning how to participate and contribute, however, has been a bit of an uphill battle. I wish that there were more resources for onboarding new users.

Oh no I feel like I'm missing something here. Is retro-internet slang that bad? Whenever anyone uses "frenz" I just assume they spent a lot of time on forums and message boards in the late 90s.

20 years of illegal gold mining in Madre de Dios, Peru.

These are some artsy images of remote sensing data I threw together for a recent presentation. RGB = various infrared bands. Clouds in the first image (2000) were leftovers from masking for NDVI calculations.

The amount of cloud cover in regions of personal interest has led me to realize I need to learn as much as possible about Synthetic Aperture Radar.

Right? I really like the concept of this platform. A lot. Glad I took the plunge.

Excited to see how it grows and evolves :)

@ChrisO_wiki Honestly, the more I wrap my head around it, the more I like the concept of this platform. Have you found any interesting servers yet?
