𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐭-211?

At-211 emits a single α-particle with high Linear Energy Transfer (LET) (~100 keV/µm), leading to 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐍𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞.

Moreover, the α-particles emitted by At-211 have a very short path length in tissue (50-100 µm), ensuring that radiation is concentrated within a few cell diameters, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟-𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬.
