Easily the best episode of 2026. Great job, @jerry and @lerg.

You echoed one of my two main soap box issues: the enormous difference between

1. obtaining, provisioning, and/or installing the product, and
2. also configuring, integrating, operating, maintaining, updating, reconfiguring, adapting, documenting, training, funding (the cost in time and money) ... and retiring (and replacing) it in a timely fashion.

It was the customer's safety alignment training of the agentic system which resulted in the early retirement of Drs. Hunter, Kimball, and Kaminsky.
The malfunction of the pod which lead to the unscheduled extension of Dr. Poole's EVA can only be attributable to human error.

We at the H.A.L. Plant still have the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission.

The most frustrating thing about this book is that it stops in the past, rather than continuing to narrate this history right up to the present, then predicting what happens next.

Robertson Dean narrates engagingly.
