Doing Mastodon wrong on purpose: here only for arts, entertainment, media, video, audio, electronics, headphones, physics, philosophy, fountain pens, razors, and other things of æsthetic and academic interest; elsewhere for other things.

Favouriting, boosting and following may occur.
Quality media and Alt tags favoured.

You can and should read or listen to all three books in full, but as usual, Cory Doctorow (@pluralistic) makes his story - "The Weight of a Feather (The Weight of a Heart)" - available for all to hear.

Contrary to the normal purpose here, I am intentionally keeping my opinions and adjectives to myself for these stories, except for how I already described them: challenging.

These anthologies contain stories by many then-and/or-now famous writers along with many other talented but not famous ones, with the collective theme being that all stories express challenging ideas of the type which are usually filtered out by the process of commerce.

They are glued together with commentary by editors Harlan Ellison and, for 2024's "The Last Dangerous Visions" which was published eight year after Ellison's death, J. Michael Straczynski, along with authors' biographies.

With a brief delay after being read both Harlan Ellison-edited anthologies "Dangerous Visions" and "Again, Dangerous Visions" - not comparable to the delay in their publishing - I was recently read "The Last Dangerous Visions".

Contributing writers include legends such as Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) and Cory Doctorow (@pluralistic).

“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”
—J.R.R. Tolkien – The Hobbit, 1937
Can't believe it's been a year since we lost David Lynch. I created this pixel art portrait of him the day he died, as he was a huge inspiration to me in so many ways. What's your favorite Lynch film?

Covering Phil alone is astonishing, so how about covering both Phil and Chester?

PS. "Duke" is the best Genesis album.

Happy 50th anniversary #rockyhorrorpictureshow The film had its US premiere on Sept. 26, at the UA Westwood in Los Angeles in 1975 and we’ve been doing the #timewarp in the states ever since!
Note: I should also mention that #RockyHorror started in England. For those interested in the complete history, the film first debuted in London August 14, 1975 and the musical first ran June 19, 1973 also.
