AKA Dustin. Former cohost of a podcast that statistically you never listened to. Into tabletop, VR, and scifi/fantasy fiction.

@BeefGriller back in my early days at Sprint I had to fix a customer issue where a botched number port made it so they couldn't receive incoming calls but could call out just fine. Went for 6 months like that before they noticed and called customer service.

I always wished no incoming calls was a feature I could request.

I've mentioned this but I'm gonna make a real post.

If you are setting up Windows 11, select "English (World)" as your language (English Europe also works), and you will have NONE of the third party bloatware installed.

No Candy Crush, no Netflix, just the first party apps

Please do share this info with anyone who may be setting up Windows soon

https://www.ctrl.blog/entry/windows-ooberegion-bloatware.html

2-clicks to install Windows 11/10 without the third-party bloatware

You can block bloatware/partner/advertisement apps from cluttering up your fresh Windows installation by changing just one setting during the installation.

@BeefGriller you do not like them here or there?

‘If you really can't figure out which political party or which politician to vote for, just ask if they're on the side of libraries.

Are they voting to fund their libraries?
Are they voting to keep them free?

Then vote for those guys.
They're probably the good guys.

And by the same token, the book burners, the book banners, they're probably the bad guys.’

“I will always be on the side of the libraries”: A Conversation with Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a fierce supporter of libraries. The author of American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, The Sandman, Coraline, and so many more has had a lifelong love affair with reading. And he credits librarians for fostering his curiosity about books and learning at a young age. Gaiman spoke with I Love Libraries recently about libraries, comic books, book banning in the U.S., movies, and more.

I Love Libraries
I'm on a new medication and it's made me a bit rumbly in the tumbly.
Last night I farted for so long and so loudly I was afraid I was deflating.
It's good I live alone because it was a deal breaker.

Day 1: I get locked out of the Facebook Popehat page

Day 2: My former co-blogger Derrick (who was one of the writers of the satirical North Korean Twitter account) finds out and promises to restore my access, but first:

Day 3: He turns it into an anime fan page for a day
