Google announced that as of September 2026, it will no longer be possible to develop apps for the Android platform without first registering centrally with Google. This registration will involve:

- Paying a fee to Google
- Agreeing to Google’s Terms and Conditions
- Providing government identification
- Uploading evidence of the developer’s private signing key
- Listing all current and future application identifiers

There's a certain type of frustration that comes with being disqualified for a job asking for "fluent German" through a job ad demanding expertise in "Neuro-linguistic programming" while actually meaning "Natural Language Processing".
I wonder if they have an opening for someone with fluent English.

Tonight I needed to know fairly quick what the maximum Ibuprofen dosage for a child is and decided that, after discarding a bunch of AI-generated websites, the one for St. Louis Children's Hospital was probably one I could trust. It didn't work, though, because their website put me on a Cloudflare "Human Verification" infinite loop until I gave up.
This future sucks.
