Steam Algorithm used to have such a solid formula for us indie, but now its getting more and more hostile on indie devs

The Steam coming soon page debuts first week, then vs now.
2023 no trailer and no marketing by default 1000 organic WL
2026 with trailer and polish 50 WL

Work on your fan bases and keep them close, otherwise it's a race to the bottom.

Introducing: Barbwire

#deckbuilder #indiegame

Problem
Deckbuilders exploded in 2021, a big amount of card games were released, they were easy to make resulting in them having a stigma of low effort
So, doing a high production value on this genre is proving to be a challenge for me in regard to marketing

Testing our Deckbuilder roguelike with printed cards on paper was fun, but now it's time to clean up and bring it to life.
Although we are considering adding a PDF print version of the game as a DLC.

Sprite works for the card game, going for that retro aspect.

No arsenal is complete without a : MINIGUN!

We are adding heroes based on proficiency for our zombie card game; each one will have its own set of cards and stats.
So far I got:
The soldier
The Medic
The Engineer
The Fireman
The Cameraman
The Cook
Any other suggestions?
