Hello world!

Whoa, it's been a while. A lot has changed since I last used Mastodon, and I mean A LOT. I mean, technically it's only been a couple of months, but I feel infinitely older than I used to when I was active on this site. More cynical. But also wiser.

@Kittyfox That sounds like a contradiction. I thought the wiser you got, the less cynical you were supposed to be?
@osborn I used to be a staunch dreamer and idealist in just about every area in life, whether it made sense or not. Now I'm learning to temper it with a more posed and realistic approach to life. It's a hard lesson to take in; I'm much more open to the idea that not everyone is fundamentally good, and that not everything has the potential to be awesome, but I feel my overall perspective on the world is more grounded in reality. @osborn I realize this all sounds pretty vague and I don't know if I am succeeding in getting my point across, but if I told you everything that happened to me, every little realization that lead to this change, we'd be here all day and I'm just not ready to reveal so much about me here atm. In short, in the past few months, I've lived through experiences that gave me what I think is a much more real/accurate picture of the world, and I've met people who gave me new points of vue. [2/2]
@osborn But if you want to discuss this more in depth so I can give you concrete examples, I'd be happy to! Just give me some time to organize my thoughts. :) [3!/3]
undefined Makes sense to me. I'm in my shoes and you're in yours. Sounds like you've been through a lot. Life is a series of ups and downs for sure. Both tend to teach us things, but I've always learned more on the downs. Peace and love for 2018!
