Things that make me happy:
- journalists who use the correct information you give them to write their piece
- who don't overdramatize something that doesn’t need to be dramatized
- that check and double check their sources
:heart:
Those journalists get a thank you text :smile:
@VevaDan are you working in the public relations business by chance
@saper Yes :-)
@VevaDan ha, got ya!
@saper I'm the national spokeperson for a big organization in Flanders, Belgium. 😎
@VevaDan congratulations! Hell of a job! How did you come over here?
@saper Here, like here on Mastodon? Always trying out new stuff. And the journalists haven't found their way to this place yet, so it's a safe place for me. On the birdsite my profile is private 'cause I don't want to end up in the newspaper with all my nonsenses :-) But I also have a public profile on the birdsite for my communication as spokesperson.
@VevaDan I would have big trouble keeping two identities apart like that. One of them or both would be extremely boring.
But I have to admit communications is not my favourite activity; I prefer to be "doing" stuff. How do you cope?
@saper I love it! I must admit, my professional account isn't super active. But I do manage to post every day. It's my passion, so I don't really think about it, I just do it :-)
@VevaDan I think it is the same with airline pilots or truck drivers - they travel all the time and don't have other business! Although I have worked with comma people who had to fix or even manage "stuff", otherwise things would go wrong and then they would have a PR disaster!
