It's Monday which means #MoodMusicMonday! I pick the mood and you pick a song or songs you think fits the mood!

Today's mood since I'm going to be flying out today is "traveling".

The song or songs can literally be about traveling to a place or traveling in general, traveling through life, or whatever. It can even be meta and be a song where the musician/band traveled to another country to try to break in to a new market, etc. Whatever you want!

"Traveling" made me think of this song, はるのとなり, which I loved when I watched Yuru Camp. One clear objective in learning Japanese was "I want to reach a level where I can read this by myself."

As the theme song of Final Fantasy XV it pulls double duty by being played twice in the game. At the start it sets the initial theme of a road trip with the boys, just out there doing their thing. When it plays again over the end credits after everything that has happened, it has become a slightly more melancholic and wistful, but still positive and hopeful, punctuation to a very long, very hard journey.

@ami_angelwings It's kind of cheating, but Sonic music as a genre is very much so this in my opinion. So much of the series deals with moving forward along a more-or-less straight path and overcoming obstacles along the way, such that the music that pairs well with that theme tends to nail a very particular vibe of forward movement.

@ami_angelwings The Sonic DJ Style Party remix album from a few years ago does a really good job, I think, of highlighting those vibes from across the series, but it's also highly remixed and not exactly indicative of how the music appears in the games directly. The remixes nail the vibe, but aren't faithful in a literal sense.
