The sea ice season in the Bering Sea has ended, with only a little remanent ice remaining. Based on NSIDC data, the 2025-26 season was 189 days long, typical for recent years. The average sea ice season nowadays is about seven weeks shorter compared to the early 1980s. #Arctic #SeaIce #akwx
