Finally done with #007FirstLight! At least the story, still stuck in TacSim.

What a marvellous game, a clear 9 out of 10. I have fallen in love with James over the last days so often, I cannot even count. A brilliant James Bond story, the vibe is perfect, the character development is crazy good, there are so many little details around the aspects of the (alleged) life of a super spy which you wouldn't find in a movie... I love it. Dearly.

I was a little bit let down by the end of the story. Not the story itself, but several design choices for levels and challenges I didn't like or which chipped the overall experience a bit.

But overall, #007FirstLight is doing to #Hitman exactly what I would have loved but didn't know I needed - a likable, lovable hero and a proper story.

I sincerely hope there will be more content for this game. And I do hope there will be sequels. Didn't expect to fall in love this summer, but here we are!

Among the things I didn't particularly like in the end of the game (spoilers incoming!):

- the basically indestructible robots on the way to Hyperion. This stressed me out like hell and made me feel super uncomfortable in the game.
- several moments while chasing Damien at the end where I was simply stuck in some dead end and couldn't quickly figure out how to proceed. This took away the speed and dynamics of the scene which clearly ruined some of the experience.
- a bit the overall decision to bring back Damien in the end, without any explanation how he could have survived that fall and the metal pipes several missions before. To be honest, I had put my cents on either Isola as the final boss. Or Moneypenny. I would have loved her to be the mole. But maybe that's just me as a non-James-Bondian and kind of heretic for a true fan.

As you can see, it's minor things, mostly to or against my personal liking.

Another thing that kind of frustrated me - some of the (German) objectives for missions like in the TacSim.

For the "Advanced Combat Sim" I had two times "Run an enemy down the edge". However, there are two different mechanics to do so, both of which are not clearly explained, and the objective does not give away how you are supposed to solve them.

Then again, it was a funny beat them up mission, and having to redo it a couple of times was not that bad. At least, now I really have the feeling that I have mastered close combat in this game.

Dear #IOInteractive - if you choose to make more games with #JamesBond, please take notice that you will automatically receive my money. No questions asked.
