Some FosseryWeb updates:
In the announcement post of last week's major update I asked whether the original site should have rounded, slighly rounded, or edged corners, all three options received one vote, so I decided to go with the middleground, the slightly rounded corners. I also updated the Timeline page to include last week's major update and the design change, fixed metadata on the Min site's cheatsheet pages (where the title said FosseryWeb instead of FosseryWeb Min), updated the "tools I use" section on About page.
https://fosseryweb.codeberg.page/
https://fosseryweb-min.codeberg.page/
(The site is a bit slow at the moment, seems like Codeberg servers have some performance issues, probably a bit much load due to a bunch of FOSS projects leaving GitHub, the majority of them going to Codeberg. Luckily you can run the site(s) offline too, see instructions in README: https://codeberg.org/fosseryweb/pages)

Minor update to my Joplin config:
Joplin recently got an update where F11 got mapped to toggling fullscreen by default, which conflicted with my setting of toggling the note list, so I decided to modify toggling sidebar (notebook list) to F2 and toggling note list to F3, to ensure the two keys are next to each other, and don't conflict with any default setting.

@fosserytech Another possibility for the slow loading at the site can be caused by some routine maintenance at the time your are trying to access it.

It happens with me and friends often during Matrix calls on Nope.chat at 11PM (Brazilian Time) that is 4AM at the time of their servers in Germany.

@fosserytech Even logged in the Mir release notes do not appear to me, only a 404 page. Microslop showing why every serious project should at minimum have a plan to leave Github.
@fosserytech Not a minute after what I said about Github and Microslop, Flathub submission queue flooded with slop submissions.
Considering how much Github pushes for AI, avoiding low-to-no effort submissions there will be an uphill battle, they really need a plan to use a different Git provider.

@fosserytech Ubuntu "Stonking Stingray", lets see if they will miss the opportunity of calling it "stonks" for marketing.

The worrying part of the AI tools for accessibility is the potential for hallucination and the tools trying to outsmart the used that needs them.

@fosserytech While having a cleaner codebase is good, Gnome removing support for the older NGreedia hardware locked in the legacy driver - when new hardware prices are sky high - is also a problem.
I hope lightweight DEs like XFCE and LxQT find a good way to keep supporting older hardware.
