mildly unpleasant phenomenon where one extremely keen #pastagang member speaks to another extremely keen #pastagang member as if they're a complete #pastagang beginner
haven't you internalised and memorized the entire flowchart, n00b? don't you know that so-and-so was there at the birth of the pastaflip? don't you know that this person was actually the person who deleted highnudel? don't you know Gabe Newell?

another unpleasant thing is when people steal things by wrongly attributing them to #pastagang while speaking as an expert. "oh yes 'we love repetition' is a mantra that pastagang created"

"in the early days, pastagang created strudel"

@TodePond What if I know that I know nothing?

@TodePond what's your wpm mavis beacon

@TodePond I had to come and see if you'd given more detail in case this was something I'd inadvertently done (I'm renowned for being "patronising" when in fact I'm just a bit socially inept). Looks like a nope.

Anyway, I feel like pastagang is timeless, or should be - in other words, if you can join it just by knowing about it (which is often the case) who gives a fuck about where it came from and what pastagang did in the past?

@janeishly @TodePond but not everything done by someone who is a member of pastagang is being done as a member of pastagang.
@janeishly of course we care about giving credit to people and not stealing credit that isn't ours
