geraldew@siftinsand and proof that we all have gaps in our listening repertoire, I can honestly say I've never heard more than snippets of that one.
On the other hand, the running joke in this house is how often ABC Classic plays Appalachian Spring by Copland. It's as if they have an obligation to ensure it must appear somewhere in the schedule each week. Not that I dislike it at all.
My favourite music was usually composed 100+ years ago but I've come to really enjoy concerts where the composer is present, particularly if they explain their work.
