My mind thinks by analogy, but GOP behavior seems hard for me to process.

I imagine a government on fire, and Congress has a supply of fire extinguishers with which to extinguish the fire and save the democracy -- but GOP firemen (in this misshapen analogy) refuse to consent to using the extinguishers, apparently rather intending to toast marshmallows in the continuing flames.

@stargazersmith Actually, 'Firemen' is a FANTASTIC analogy--but in the FAHRENHEIT 451 sense. Their behavior fits perfectly once you understand that THEIR OBJECTIVE is to burn democracy (and American greatness) TO THE GROUND, so #VladTheInvader's #BillionairesInsurgency can rape whats left of the world unimpeded.
