Don't ask people to switch.

Tell them there is something new and cool for them to check out.

We are not replacing big tech, they don't have to abandon their playlists/groups/memories.

We are building a cooler party somewhere else and they are invited to join!

@douwe Why aren't we replacing big tech though? It's awful and could use some replacing.

@Gustodon @douwe sure. But it's the mindset. We create new cool stuff and people will want to use it and leave the evil big tech behind.

@tino @Gustodon exactly. Some people have profiles of deceased relatives on Facebook they sometimes visit. Or a old friends chat group on WhatsApp.

I think we need to avoid telling people they have to abandon these; it causes to much pain.

Instead invite them to a nice new place and move attention over.

@douwe I abandoned those things. Doing what's ethical is often painful.
