I once heard a conversation in which someone said they didn't care for the rendering of "okay" as simply "ok", although they accepted "o.k.", because to them "ok" seemed like it was meant to be read as a monosyllabic word, and, well, "obviously 'ok' isn't a word"

but my instinct as an esperanto speaker is to retort: tute ne, kiel ĉiuj scias, ok *ja* estas vorto.

and somehow over the years this has transformed into the fact that, in our household, consisting of only one weird conlang-enjoyer (me), whenever some sort of Esperanto Mentioned situation arises, the phrase "ok ja estas vorto" is the mantra that is intoned to acknowledge that occurrence.

@jcreed fun fact: in Russian, we often actually do pronounce /ok/ as a monosyllabic word, with derivatives like /óki/
