With Halide Mark III, we rebuilt our image processing engine to take full advantage of the iPhone camera sensor's native gamut and dynamic range. We partnered with a renowned Hollywood colorist to develop a set of amazing looks, each with a specific intent.

Enough words, here's photos!

We developed Valencia for landscapes and cityscapes, but it also has interesting effects on portraiture and skin tones. It features thick contrast, deep saturation, and solid color separation.
For portraits, we have Rembrandt, where thick contrast in the mid-tones emphasizes bone structure and lighting. Abundant color in the low end converges to white as exposure increases, for perfect uniformity in skin-tones to emphasize contours of the face.
Nova is exceptionally colorful, with tight contrast and smooth peachy highlights. Nova best suits landscapes and cityscapes rather than portraiture.
Zephyr features subtle filmic contrast, paired with rich skin tones and foliage. It has the character of a traditional print, but its neutral tone scale and tuned contrast make it a great choice for a wide variety of scenes and visual intents.
Chroma Noir is a look we developed in-house to flex our film simulation engine. It's a medium contrast, black and white look with a touch of extra grain.
@halide what a timely update for my trip to Paris with gf
@halide @sandofsky Ben please tell me what magical settings combo do I need to set to capture a 48MP photo, it's driving me nuts
@danielkasaj Inside capture settings you can specify maximum resolution. Then just shoot with the “Apple” look.

@halide A lot of those look great!

Is the new version of halide available for single-purchase again yet? I have no interest in using rentware

@halide @sandofsky I'm confused. I can't buy Halide III on my iPhone 17? I can only buy Halide II or subscribe for III?
@jgrg @halide whoops. Forgot to update that to say Mark III. (Anyone who bought II gets III)
@halide Valencia feels like Fujichrome, and Zephyr like Agfachrome. Nova is like putting a polarizer in.
@halide Thanks for Mark III and greetings from Norway! (Shot with Halide and edited with LR)
