I love #gnome, but way did they remove the logout button in #gnome50, wenn only one wm and one user is installed. Thats really annoying, because sometimes you just have to logout.

I cannot answer the question why the button was removed. I did not even notice it because I do it differently:
hit SUPER key,
type 'log',
hit ENTER.
And there you go! It's easier and faster than frickeling around with the mouse.
F2 and 'gnome-session-quit' also works but needs more typing, of course.
