your maps of oz are not too badly distorted โ you have included TASSIE which is more than most maps do ๐
as for me, I agree, the only way to think is on paperโฆ
tho NOT PhD Life, and rarely with diagrams.
there is freedom in being able to link ideas with lines, and see changes made
@teadrinker
The brand is TWSBI (pronounced twisbee)
The principal place of manufacture is Taiwan
i tried a few different styles of pen, but finally decided this is my favourite:
it holds a lot of ink - depending on the model, of course
(it used to drive me mad having to refill pens every few pages)
the plunger action is built in (no cartridges adding to landfill)
easy to fill
doesnโt seem to dry out if i donโt use it every day (tho i do use them all the time)
my preferred nib style is STUB
there are much prettier fountain pens out there, but this model is a workhorse

@maudenificent It looks like quite a fat pen, too, is that right? Because I find it so much easier to write with something like that than a really slim one.
I've got a Pilot and it's fine, and a couple of Lamys which are also not bad. So I don't actually *need* a new one...
LOL โneedโ is a great word, innit?
yes, itโs something solid to grab hold of., and doesnโt leave me with cramped hands
The model is 580 DIAMOND ALR
I have half a dozen LAMY pens
the safaris are quite cheap to buy and are great if I am writing slabs of text, but the nib tends to dry out too quickly between uses for my liking
@SeaFury Ooh, I do love a fat nib too. Didn't realise Lamy did a calligraphy nib! I've got two bottles of Iroshizuku ink and I loooove them
