Jet2 Expands Summer 2026 Schedule with 37 New Routes and 3 New Destinations

Jet2 has announced a significant expansion of its summer 2026 operations, introducing 37 new routes and three new destinations—La Palma, Palermo, and Samos—bringing the airline's total overseas destinations to 66. This expansion increases Jet2's overall summer network to 532 services. The Leeds-based airline is focusing on Mediterranean markets, particularly Greece, Spain, Portugal, and the Balearic Islands, with Greece seeing the largest seat increase at 446,000. Gatwick Airport is the main driver of growth this summer, marking Jet2's 14th UK base with six aircraft, including five Airbus A321neos. The airport alone contributes 908,000 additional seats. Other regional UK bases, including Bournemouth, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Stansted, East Midlands, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, and Belfast International, also see network expansions. Looking ahead, Jet2 plans to enter the Egyptian market in February 2027, adding Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, and anticipates 20 new routes and an additional 1.25 million seats for summer 2027. The airline also plans to grow its fleet from 14 aircraft to 145, expanding its Airbus A321neo fleet from 31 to 43 units. This growth reflects strong outbound leisure demand from the UK and underscores Jet2's ongoing strategy to broaden its Mediterranean and European offerings.
