#AgeVerification has been getting a lot of flak for fear of personal information leaks or big-brother surveillance. Now, here is a lay person wondering if the open-source solution that the EU is developing, might dispel such concerns, assuming it will work as advertised at https://ageverification.dev/

(Whether age verification will be imposed on the right portfolio of online services is another matter and I'm not asking this question.)

@usti Considering that the #EUDI wallet doesn't work as advertised, I wouldn't expect their age verification app to work as advertised either.
Until expert cryptographers and independent developers give their thumbs up to the design, I won't use the app. After having followed the development of the EUDI wallet app I just feel too burnt, man
