Sooo PyCharm supports Wayland now, cool. I ❤️ #pycharm! A notice about Wayland support appeared so I read the @jetbrains blog about it. This really stuck out to me:

"The splash screen on IDE startup will not appear as it cannot be reliably centered on the screen."

Splash screens may not be necessary, but they're nice for slower loading apps like IDEs so you know something is going on. Why can't #wayland support centering windows on a screen? This is Windows 3.1 level, basic stuff. #ux
