mark ๐ฎ๐ช ๐ช๐บ@emilymbender @Joy_intl reminds me to go check on the swans. Mam seemed appreciative of the peas I brought down on Friday, though she was nervous of us being close. We stayed as far away as possible. They nest on the riverbank in a sheltered space with the road above where we can toss some peas near her and she gobbles up the ones near her.
@emilymbender @Joy_intl no babies yet. Papa was happy to get som peas. I gently tossed some for mam (I hope that is ok) but got out of the way before I could tell if she ate them. I wanted to minimise my interaction around the nest. This pair has been coming back to our weir for years- at least I assume itโs the same pair. They have a secure place to nest. Hopefully, they will have some cygnets soon.
