Every third Voyager episode:

Delta Quandrant Inhabitant: Hey Strangers, just letting you know, you should go around this section of space, some horror is waiting to try and kill you there.

Janeway: And add 2 months to our trip, what could possibly go wrong?

*everything goes wrong*

@RickiTarr
And we wonder why she shattered the Temporal Prime Directive multiple times.

@RickiTarr

It never dawned on me how many times the crew were ripped apart or murdered outright or violently tortured, even before they were perpetually reanimated slaves in Hirogen Nazi holodeck fantasies for however long that was, until I binged it a couple years back.

It was kind of shocking when I sat there near the end and recounted. Grim shit that is spread across millions in civilizations under oppression was visited on each of them.

Bill Murray's got nothing on the Voyager crew.😄

@RickiTarr they got back ahead of schedule, though!

@RickiTarr @lisamelton

You’d think the crew(s) would mutiny by act 2 each week.
Luckily Captain Janeway new had an “in” with the writers; and Space Goat pix on the Director

@RickiTarr Not to mention continuing gathering seeds for hydroponics manually instead of buying a load of them at the next trade station or inhabited planet.
@RickiTarr I mean... To be fair... it's usually more like two years and if you added all the possible side trips up, it would mean that their (what was it, like 70 years) journey would just grow and grow to being way over 100 years surely. So, I mean, I sort of can't blame them. At a certain point you'd rather risk it. At least in theory. (The "year of hell" I think they called it is a point that would be worth going around even if it added ten years to the journey...)
@RickiTarr And yet she always pulls it out of the fire with daring and science.
