Iโ€™m excited to join the Pocket Casts team, aka the greatest app ever made. If you are an active user like me and desperately need something fixed in it, lemme know ๐Ÿ˜œ

@a_grebenyuk Big fan since Shifty Jelly. I'm glad you are on it.

The only thing that annoys me is the lack of a real macOS app. The Electron app misses a lot of features and feels very neglected.

BTW, I'm on the beta. So I expect great things from now on.

@obrhoff awesome; I'm working on hardening some of the flows and some fixes, and generally expect to initially focus on quality improvements.
@obrhoff Automattic is also doing an all-out company-wide hackathon with everyone working in pairs building whatever their heart desire. We've been planning to add some more Listening Stats: heatmap, top podcasts โ€“ stuff like that. I think it could be quite nice.

@a_grebenyuk Hmm, not sure if thatโ€™s really important. Personally, I think it might need more of a fresher look experience, but I'm sure you will figure it out.

Anyway, it is good that it keeps existing. The PocketCast subreddit went a bit nuts when some subscription things changed, and I was not sure if itโ€™s financially successful to exist.

@obrhoff yup, itโ€™s in the works as well
@obrhoff @a_grebenyuk this. Long time subscriber, January 2023. Also, I wish handoff was supported between iOS and macOS.
@qnoid hey Markos โ€“ small world. A full-featured macOS client would be great. For handoff, do you mean like "stop playing on device X, continue on device Y"?
@a_grebenyuk yeah. Right now, as far as I can tell, it looks like playback is tracked in the backend. I can pause on the iPhone, wait for the sync to complete, play on the Mac. Would be nicer to just continue the stream from the Mac, as I was listening on the iPhone.
@a_grebenyuk if you insist! When I'm catching up on a new podcast with a ton of old episodes it's hard to start listening in order from a point in time. Would be great to be able to create playlists using the series and episode metadata as filters.
