However, the trilogue discussions on Chat Control 2.0 start this Thursday. But #ChatControl is a Trojan Horse for citizens and businesses in Europe. Interestingly, not everyone should be monitored:

@Tutanota Every Western gov't is corrupted by this desire to control its citizenry. It exhibits their weakness and lack of faith in their own system of gov't (that they do not practice or believe in). And they're our rulers!

@archivescribe @Tutanota On the contrary, I expect that the fact they're actively trying to sabotage its functioning is indicative that they do think democracy can have results and they specifically don't want that.

They do believe in its ability but certainly do not support it.
