Asking the #GLAM people here: Do you know glam catalogues that use and expose #wikidata IDs? I'm looking for examples where places, people, subjects etc. or the objects themselves etc. are (visibly) linked to the Wikidata item in the web frontend. If you know any such catalouges, let me know!
thanks

@wragge Thanks! They also add qids for the movies, which is nice. I also like the citation recommendation at the bottom.
@awinkler data.bnf.fr exposes #BnF 's catalogue data and links to Wikidata, among other sources, e.g., https://data.bnf.fr/en/ark:/12148/cb11893627z (click on "see more").

@awinkler

Prometheus Bildarchiv has the option to include Wikidata for artist names, and they mentioned in their #ALW2026 talk that they want to use it for more aspects like the one you describe in the future. (screenshot is from one of their open access collections).

Also https://www.nga.gov links to artwork IDs (under "Research ressources")

@awinkler many cool possibilities. At @smk we pull in metadata from wikidata to power our own search on https://open.smk.dk/

SMK Open
@jonassmith @smk interesting. Have you published any details on what (and how) you're doing?
@awinkler @smk hmm I guess not. But let me ask my knowledgeable colleague tomorrow and maybe we could 😀
@awinkler @smk Basically our online collection checks to see if there's a matching inventory number on Wikidata and then fetches keywords. It's a bit neglected on our end, and my colleague is looking deeper. Afterwards we'll type up what we find on https://www.smk.dk/en/article/where-does-extra-data-on-smk-open-come-from/

@jonassmith @smk that's really smart and elegant. I think that this approach has much potential. Here's a list of the +7000 objects from SMK on wikidata: https://w.wiki/LPsP , all of them with an inventory number. Have you ever considered explicitly using Wikidata as an interface through which the community can enrich your metadata (i.e. exposing a wikidata link and asking people to add if they miss something)?
@awinkler @smk Great, and thanks. He have thought along those lines before but actually not using Wikidata... As the museum just debuted on Mastodon perhaps we should try to rally some help here... thinking...
@jonassmith @smk maybe the #sumofallpaintings project can help uploading your collection data (the API says there are almost 200k objects) to Wikidata. Could also be a nice editathon ...
@awinkler @smk I'll look into that! My understanding of the Wiki universe is highly limited but there's actually a connection between our collection and Wikimedia - maybe that could also be of use. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:WLKBot

@jonassmith @smk i guess that exporting data to Wikidata is yet another project. I'll have a look

@awinkler This already seems to be working on https://www.museum-digital.de, provided that the identifiers for people (museum-digital-ID), places (museum-digital-Ort-ID) and subjects/keywords (museum-digital-Tag-Kennung) have been entered in #Wikidata. At the object level, this would be a nice-to-have feature. @jrenslin

We make a intensiv job on our Data to matching them with #Wikidata and to publish the QID
