@embedded I worked on a project where we connected two ARM Cortex-A53 cores on the same board with ethernet. It was a disaster, mostly because the board manufacturer mis-installed an impedance-matching inductor that was on one of the lines between them. Nonetheless, there was general agreement on the team that we should have used high-speed serial instead.
