Der #Spiegel Verlag was originally founded in Hannover, but moved to #Hamburg in 1952 at the insistence of its new, financially powerful partner John Jahr - whose own publishing house later merged to Gruner + Jahr. Just under 60 years later, all the Spiegel companies moved under one roof here at the Ericusspitze.
When I took the photo yesterday, it was almost low tide. The tidal range here is 3.5 metres. You can see the high-water mark on the harbour wall. The photo was taken from the Oberhafen Bridge.
