I’ve also heard this phrase so many times in #Germany but couldn’t really point my finger at what is wrong with it.

A Moldovan anarchist told me once that at an international #anarchist congress a couple of years ago, Eastern European arguments and stories were denied as “the wrong theory”.

Gosh! We have the lived experience, a proof that your theory doesn’t work! This all is a form of gaslighting

"But that was not real communism/socialism”. Oh, really?

@nastasime THIS. Whenever I read about modern "revolutions", I cringe when people start talking about all of the "studying" required. I get it, let's agree on some core principles, but let's also agree that nothing follows a textbook, and lived experience and facts on the ground are more valuable.
@dnkboston i forgot to insert a link. 😅
@nastasime You didn't need one to make the point 🙂
@dnkboston could you please delete your share and do it again? 😅
The article is very good
@nastasime Hmm. I can't find it now. Can you put a link to the post?
@nastasime Ah...sorry. I couldn't see that because it's Sub*stack, which is hidden by my filters. I hide the platform because of the platform's courting of Neo Nazis.
@dnkboston whaaat???

@nastasime Oh, yes. The platform was exposed for having a good number of Nazi newsletters, and when confronted, the people who ran it waved their hands, free speech, open society, blah blah blah. And since then, MORE Nazis have signed up.

A friend of mine who runs a popular podcast was courted by them--and their promotional materials included their successful Nazi accounts. She specializes in antifascism, so. No.

I'll try to find a link.

@dnkboston please do!
