Nature and art are deeply connected. The natural world inspires us all, including artists. Fillmore painted a tree, the sky, and the moon. When we put the environment at risk, we put arts and culture at risk, too.

I just remembered this but in April 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdowns, my daughter and I created this. A black cat painting featuring our beloved Indigo (he died in 2022). I painted the background. #NovaScotia #art #MaudLewis
