About a month ago I got around to writing up a definition of the Kalashnikov Principle I'm always banging on about;
https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Kalashnikov_Principle

Today I stumbled on another excellent example of a project following this principle, #Ecolibrium;

This might interest you too @smallcircles, as a case study in SX design.

Very appropriate indeed. This is the *core* practice that #SX applies, underpinned by its simple life #philosophy, called innercircles. It's expressed it in its tagline of 'simple solutions still exist'.

Including #solutions to our most wickedest problems.

https://innercircles.community

Assumption is that ALL wisdom, knowledge, common sense, and life experience that we need for a (wicked) solution, already exist. That its laying on the street, while we overlook and trample upon it in our rushed day-to-day of modern #society ratrace.

Hence the first 4 hedonic drivers are: center, think, act, feel. Center means to orient, to know what you want, up to what your dreams are. Then you think before you act, so you will feel what you want to feel, and make progress towards realization of your dreams, large and small.

SX #methodology being so holistic in #nature, and using #EmergentDesign, can incorporate with ease ANY other tool or method that yields positive result and best-practice.

I'm working on another blog post titled "Revolutionary evolution" which relates to possible outcome of #SX design with emergent forces. Where an unexpected "Spark of ignition" is possible and a #commons is able to ignite into massive concerted action + cocreation. Such that value creation and aggregation enables "Revolution by evolution".

However before it gets to that, a SX solution first has to pass the #ParadoxOfEmergence point, where the *true* Value for the first time becomes really apparent to people who are not deeply engrossed in the mechanics of the ethereal, intangible #EmergenceDesign if it's choreographed for #Potential for radical #change.

PS. Emergence design means 'with emergent forces', which is different than #EmergentDesign, where the #design itself evolves gradually, through investment and #progression on the "Solution path".

It has relationship to how we reinvent wheels, and also how well-intended contributions may lead to really bad outcomes at scale.

At this moment in time I tend to say that #mankind is too busy to solve wicked problems. More #reflection, out of the box #thinking, and shedding ourselves of the #dogma's that the "1984 Brave new world" emergent vicious spiral is continuously imprinting on us, so we talk in #Newspeak to each other. Or just have no time, or lack #attention and #patience to #listen. MUST. CHANGE. WORLD.

That way, those who want to make a difference are "Lost in the World". Like many of us in world-improving fedi crowds, including me, sometimes feel.

However we have to keep positive and muster optimistic mindset, and make #progress. Sitting down and giving up is simply no option, guarantees defeat. Unless we have no other choice, because life interferes, or we burnt our privilege in this unsustainable #grassroots environment, end of "FOSS burn cycle" in case of open #technology development.

#SteveCutts and #Moby express it perfectly in this aptly-named music video.
