This matters. Beyond identifying that it is a trap for women, it highlights a link between women suffering and religio-cultural weaponisation, stigmatisation, and limitation of ways in which males can sexually experience and express.

Living in a society which does not weaponise sexual orientation/experience would reduce the resented 'dependence' on women.

More fool the woman who spins or spreads homophobia. She is laying the foundations of her own trap, whilst presuming it is a separate issue.
