Imagine a time when ultrarich media moguls were out in the world trying to actually help people.
HAHAHAHAHHAHA, that would be wild! πŸ₯²

(I still can't get my head around how today's ultra-religious nutbags have forgotten all about the post-mortem glory that struck terror in their hearts in the good old days πŸ™„)
I can't wrap my head around any of this. It's too bonkers.
Oh, they didn't. They fear death as much as in the old days. It's just nobody treats religion that serious anymore, not even the ultra-religious nutbags. I think religion is more like a tool today for control and pushing some sort of far-right agenda. But the fear is still there, now it's all about "research" about prolonging life or overcome the failing body.
Religion has been a tool for control since it was invented. That's its purpose. But my comment was more specifically about the building in this photo. This is Wells Court and it was commissioned by a rich newspaper owner and designed to be social housing for local workers who had lost their jobs when the mills closed down.
Finally, a spot I recognise! I was there two years back. Will return some day.
This was ages ago for me! Must have been 2006, I think. I don't remember much of this area, but I do remember the feeling of absolute wonder at this leafy oasis bang in the middle of the capital!

Wow, great picture! Is it somewhere you can enter or is it private place?
Thanks! πŸ™‚ Unfortunately, I couldn't find any info on this. But here's the name of the building in case you want to have a look: https://ewh.org.uk/well-court/
