Goals for 2026:

☐ DeGoogle

☐ DeMeta

☐ DeMicrosoft

Can you tick any off the list? 😎

@Tutanota I only have deGoogle left, slowly pulling away.

@Lightfighter @Tutanota

Once I got a degoogled androod phone (I use e/os) it was easy! Hang in there and keep chipping away. It's worth it!

@IT_SME @Lightfighter @Tutanota what phone are you using/recommend for /e/os?

@someone123456789 @Lightfighter @Tutanota

Pixel 8

I intentionally purchased it used because I didn't want to give Google any of my money.

I chose the Pixel 8 because it is a viable option for Graphene OS and a few of the Linux OSs. I like to have options, but after putting eOS on I haven't looked back.

@IT_SME @someone123456789 @Lightfighter @Tutanota You are saying eOS was a better choice than GrapheneOS?

@brainsuxx666 @someone123456789 @Lightfighter @Tutanota

Not at all. I'm saying I was so satisfied with eOS that I never moved on from it to try GrapheneOS.

I've heard nothing but great things about GrapheneOS. I think it's more security-focused, while eOS is more privacy-focused.

@IT_SME @brainsuxx666 @someone123456789 @Tutanota Everyone has a different threat model, so having options is a good thing.
