So I walk upto the busstop and the digital sign says the next bus is due in 15 minutes. I decide to walk to the next stop on the route. I make it two stops before the waiting time has dropped to 6 minutes. At which point I decide to not risk it, because I might miss this one and they only go every half hour. By doing this I have:

@usmu I always walk to previous stops so that there are more free seats

Why walk to the next stop? Is your destination close enough that you might make it if the bus is very late?

@luc Free seats are usually not a problem at the times I travel, so they're not a consideration for me. Walking towards the next stop makes me feel I have less of a chance to miss the bus. Which is not factually true, but there you go. And I have walked to my destination on occasion, so I might do that if I feel like it.
