It has taken me more than 2 months to complete this retrospective travelogue thread about the 17-day voyage I went on in Jan-Feb to the #Antarctic Peninsula on the #tallship #BarkEuropa.

@Ruth_Mottram No, I was one of the voyage crew (paying guests). I'd offered to give some lectures but in the end I only gave one. Two leaders of the Antarctic Heritage Trust young explorers group who were participating also gave inspiring talks, and others were given by thr guides who were members of the regular crew.

@Ruth_Mottram Sometimes it pays off to go along with the ideas my kids have. I was persuaded to go along by one of my sons, who is near to finishing his deck officer cadet training and had already committed to the voyage.
