They just started showing up in our yard a couple years ago and I love them. I once watched one follow a little Downy Woodpecker around from tree to tree, using him to lead him to good bug spots. I am surprised to see how large they are when they land on the birdbath.

I used to see one around who liked to drum on my neighbour's steel chimney early on warm summer mornings. I thought it was a crow when I first spotted it.
