@foobarry I have on several occasions started to count my steps at the start of a walk but always get distracted before I get too far.
As you say who can say the mi band is accurate. They never and I suppose can't, quote a steps count accuracy figure.
@foobarry That is a real shame and also interesting because while many Skmei have this to an extent, some are clearly worse than others and on the flip side some are much better than others.
The Skmei 2540 is a terrible watch for a bunch of reasons (see link) but the viewing angles at least are really good.

I also have a 1096 and that is great and have heard that the 2514 is too. others like the 2218 might not be perfect but are good enough IMHO.
So Skmei can do this but for some reason, often they do not. đ¤ˇ

Attached: 1 image Really not a fan of this watch. I sort of hate it a bit. I knew I wouldn't like it before I bought it. I actually bought it mainly to check on some things and see how #Skmei is progressing in certain areas. However even with my low expectations it is disappointing.
@foobarry Yeah that sounds worse.
P.S. I just remembered I also have a 2688 (which would have been a nice watch but the size is too big for the retro style and they used a smartwatch style case). However, with regards to viewing angles, features and animations it is all good. So again, Skmei have all the parts. They just struggle to consitently bring it all together.
@foobarry So why not the Casio WS-B1000? It is the basicallt the same module (from a user perspective, albeit visually a bit different) as the ABL-100. I have the ABL-100 myself and the counting is good!

@ruario @foobarry yooo, yes! I really like the watch, it's super simple. Step count seems accurate enough and has Bluetooth to connect to phone via the Casio app, which keeps a log of the steps overall (I usually stop it after uploading step counts tbh).
Keeps time well, alarm goes off when asked đ(adjustable via watch or app) and the hourly beep is useful to me. It's fairly sturdy and the display is alright for toughness (it has a few scratches but I'm often out in the garden or grubbing around, DIY etc).
@foobarry @mactunag Nah, you are OK. For one thing you can use the watch without the app. For another there are third party apps that support Casio. I used one myself at the beginning.
At the time it didn't support every feature of these (then new) modules but I would assume the support has or will only improve over time.
Ok, note to others, the third party app "G-Shock Smart Sync" by Ivo Zivkov can actually connect to this watch and it does allow configuring a bunch of the stuff (albeit not everything on my watch) and it doesn't require any Casio ID.
