Eine 'ungewöhnliche Situation' #FotoVorschlag

This photo was taken at a time when I was pretty much on my own. The pandemic wasn’t quite over yet, I hadn’t really come to terms with my burnout and break-up, and I my old job did not let me go ... That was the period when I slowly started to find the energy for my own projects again. I took up jogging, went hiking a lot and - for want of alternatives 🙈 - cooked for myself. This picture somehow sums up this 'unusual situation' (#PhotoSuggestion) quite well.

@chimpgram A somewhat unsettling, slightly disturbing tone in an isolating echo chamber, but I do like it. Thank you for this photo. Explaining your self-care drive behind the scenes was helpful. Your pandemic situation hooked me because it really reminded me of myself.

@chimpgram Fun fact: I coined the term “Der alte Affe” for my nagging depression over the past years and especially during this time, which weirdly brings me full circle back to your Fediverse avatar.

I first wrote about this in 2017, I guess. Strange, that #FotoVorschlag and your picture got me thinking about it again today.

... Danke für Deine Antworten & den Link. Erinnert mich daran, wie ich meinen Alltagsfrust damals in mein digitales Tagebuch eingepfercht habe in der Hoffnung, später drüber lachen zu können. Konnte ich oft auch. Der Affe ist bei mir aber nicht damit verbunden. Er ist eher so ein allgemeiner Spiegel und - vor allem bei Bildern in der Öffentlichkeit - ein lustiger Beweis dafür, dass Leute oft nur noch schneller an Dingen vorbeirennen, nur weil plötzlich ein Affe davor steht :-).
