Conny Nasch@paulschoe I thank you for sharing this, which I had forgotten (in my youth I had seen it) but is now more realist than it should be. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined we would once again be at that point in time! 🤔 😢 My parents went through the war and I studied the history. Wailing and wringing of hands is not sufficient, but I live in a peaceful and successful country in central western Europe, and cannot complain 😊 I had grown up in apartheid South Africa....
Many of us are amazed that we have arrived at a point where history is forgotten and lessons are unlearned.
It becomes clear that when societies become too successful, people start voting against their own interests (look at the refusal to give chilren vaccines) because they don't realise how hard people had to fight to provide the comfort that we now enjoy.
Horrible and fascinating at the same time.
