Been thinking a bit about The Technological Singularity and have concluded we actually crossed that threshold somewhere around the time hobby #RC helicopter fans’ #quadcopters started getting better and better balance algorithms, bigger brains for more sensors, first person cameras, and eventually began dropping grenades on civilians.

Drones are the definition of dual use tech, for sure. The literally same device can either video survey storm damage or drop a grenade on a civilian. @[email protected] @[email protected]

AS3X and quadrino were far more game-changing than I’d anticipated

Which is sorta the crux of Singularity, as I think about it. As a sociological concept, it’s where the chaos of tech crossed with culture led to unfathomable results near-instantaneously
