I used to play (keyboard) until I discovered MIDI and then I was programming again. Fuck.
The way I figured it a new hobby was cooking:
No robot (or LLM/AI/Robot) is ever going to Cook like a human so this is my escape from the digital world. I'm no chef, but I can make inexpensive, ready, nutritious meals on cheap for lots of people. My volunteer work taught me to scale

Totally agree! I work in advertising myself, but still, ads should be optional with a subscription model, and all tracking needs to go. Advertising shouldn’t be built on people’s personal data. Sure, targeting gets harder without it, but that would force our industry to actually be creative again instead of relying on the AI-generated crap flooding every feed.
