Curious to see what happens with #givenergy . I almost went with their kit because of the local network first approach. I hope people don't end up with bricked kit in a few years

@coldclimate At least these sorts of things aren’t too hard to swap out if they do need to be replaced. But yeah, I’ll be looking at fully local control if I can.

@coldclimate I’m sat here with a replacement battery of theirs waiting to be installed. I’m hoping it’ll happen tomorrow, as I’ve been waiting for 4 months.

Did hear from a reliable source that the kit was designed so as to not need any central systems.

@dazfuller yep it looks like the battery and solar side seems ok if offline, the EV charger less so

@coldclimate we've got givenergy kit. It's a bit concerning, but I think local control will continue to work.
