With all the hype over social media addiction among children, along with broader concerns over the use of smartphones and tablets in grade schools, now seems the perfect time for #Motorola to release a slightly updated version of the original #Razr.

That allows for the absolutely required ability to maintain communications while removing social media access.

A slightly larger phone with texting, 4K cameras, and cool color schemes for under $100, could sell hundreds of millions of units.

Motorola and GrapheneOS recently announced a deal where the security-focused phone operating system would be available on at least one of the phone manufacturer's devices, so a dumb phone in the original Razr style released alongside the new, more secure, smart device could be an excellent pairing.

It's time to re-separate the phone from the entertainment device.

Security alone makes that necessary.

Fascism and other forms of authoritarianism make it potentially lifesaving.
